Social communities are a source of huge traffic and exposure.
We all are familiar with Facebook, Twitter, MySpace…the mega social communities. But there are other communities that are also large, and can give to you an enormous amount of traffic.
MyBlogLog is one of these. This is a social community site where you can create a user profile for free, including building your own communities and groups around a certain topic or niche.

I must admit that I am somewhat ‘overwhelmed’ by this Web2.0 stuff not having done it before. I am not sure whether to use my name tag and pic of me or (as you suggest) to use a pic of one of my German Shepherd Dogs and just promote my website?

Many thanks for this information. Where do you get all these ideas from? You must never sleep cause your brain is a powerhouse of new information.
I really think this is so powerful and will create an account now.
One concern I do have and it is this – With so many new systems like these in web 2.0 I wish there was a method of doing everything from one simple interface. Maybe that is just wishful thinking. Don’t forget that this is also a very legitimate PR7 site to get a backlink from! It is on my list for every new site I start.
I will also say that Jumptags.com is another directory site that is very fast to index in Google!
